Pewaukee Independence Day Parade

I was lucky enough to be asked to attend my hometown 4th of July parade. It was exciting to view the parade from the "other side."

It just so happens that they placed me in front of the Pewaukee High School Cheerleaders, which my daughter, Jade, happened to be participating with. People could hear us coming from a block away!

There was a wonderful turn out considering our town was hit pretty hard with flooding. I think everyone was ready for a distraction from the flood damage and destruction. It was so sad to see our small town covered in water

June 25th 2008

And we are off...

My first appearance as Mrs. Wisconsin! I just got back from Georgia, where we assisted in crowning the new Mrs. Georgia America, Shauna Rowland. Mrs. Iowa, Laura Diers and Mrs. Minnesota, Wendi Russo were present as well. Faith & Carl Schway are the state directors for Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota and Georgia. It has been tradition for them to fly out the winners to their other pageants! Not only does it help you get your feet wet with public appearances, but it is also a bonding time with your fellow queens.

Georgia had many fine contenders on the quest for the crown as you can see. It was a tough competition and I quite enjoyed sitting in the audience for a change.
I contacted a personal training facility to see if they would assist in sponsoring me in my goals of becoming the next Mrs. America. To my delight, they offered $3000.00 worth of personal training and nutritional services. Peak Performance in Pewaukee, WI. I went in today for my initial consult. I have a feeling that I am going to be sore for the next 8 weeks! Feel free to visit their site at http://www.peakperformancewi.com/. I would like to extend a gracious Thank You to Doug & Ryan for all of their expertise. I am sure they can drive me to become an even better me!
